But you owe the horse taking it to the water, and if it doesn't drink then it needs to understand, what water is, what a horse is, and what relationship needs to exist between both.

For someone as enlightened as yourself, explaining water's substance and importance might be a little bit boring.. People tend to be intolerant one way or the other, and impatience is an expected child of intolerance. Right now, I doubt it if anyone in Egypt knows the right thing to do or the battles worth fighting and the battles not worth fighting, let alone unifying battles.

The thing is you never know what's gonna work, there are a million ways to let the horse drink and probably the least effective one of them is telling it to drink. While culture is the keyword, Education is the magical one (but then again, you can provide perfect education for students who do not want to learn).

Change might happen in our lives or in generations to come, but we can never undermine our contribution to it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5755659872909540278.post-71584250131239011602011-11-15T04:36:05.367-08:002011-11-15T04:36:05.367-08:00"I don't need to live through the consequ..."I don't need to live through the consequences of divide, hatred, oppression of freedoms to understand that this is not how a society flourishes. But it seems that these are experiences that we as a country still have to go through in order to grow."

No doubt. But whether we as a country have to go through these things for another 100 years or just 10 or 20, depends very much on how many people like us will stick around and keep pointing out over and over again how this is not the way a society flourishes.

It's a boring, infuriating job. But it might just make all the difference between another century in the dark ages, or just a couple of decades.

Who are you fighting? You are fighting history. And its consequences. All of them. The best weapon against that is dispensing correct information to the people.

So keep blogging.
